Stewardship Committee
Purpose: is the practice of systematic and proportionate giving of time, abilities, material possession; based on the conviction that these are a trust from God to be used in God's service, for the benefit of all people.
The committee shall be composed of all members of the Central Board.- To develop an understanding of stewardship that is centered in the scriptures and interpreted holistically.
- To celebrate the experience of sharing the success and the failures, the mountain-tops and the valleys which are common to all.
- To introduce stewardship at the congregational level on a continuing basis.
- To identify current stewardship resources which are available to congregations through Presbytery.
- To strengthen lines of communication between Central Board, the congregation and the Stewardship Committee of Presbytery.
